Strategic planning and decision-making: a big picture approach for a big business. In this Microclass on Sustainable Airline Strategy, participants will embark on a journey through the dynamic world of aviation, exploring the intricacies of strategic management tailored to the airline sector, doped with a sustainability mindset. The course begins by delving into the critical foundation of strategic analysis, where delegates will engage with macro and micro environmental assessments through PESTEL analysis, SWOT analysis, and Porter's Five Forces framework. The latter part of the course is dedicated to the formulation of winning strategies. Participants will unravel the secrets of Porter's Generic Strategies, Hybrid Strategies, and the revolutionary Blue Ocean Strategy, all contextualized within the airline industry. Enrol to learn key strategic management techniques that will help you keep your operations in line with your strategy and deliver sustainable results.

Programme  

This Microclass will start from Sat 3rd Aug and will conclude on 25th Aug 2024. Classes will be conducted on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) across 8 Slots of 3- hour each, as per the program schedule.

Certification

Candidates who have successfully completed this Microclass will be awarded with a Certificate of Completion by Aviationia, Atlântica and Shervi Aviationia as well as  a Certificate of Specialisation from Atlântica University.

Meet Your Coach

Rui Quadros is a seasoned professional with 20+ years of experience in Aviation Management. Rui has been the Managing Director and General Manager for Portugália Airlines. He then advanced the role of Executive Director and Chief Commercial Officer at SATA Group. His diverse experience also encompasses various roles in business development, sales, and consultancy within the tourism and aviation sectors. In academia, Rui has served as a Research Professor at ISEC Lisboa, and Programme Director of BSc Aviation Management. He has also contributed as a Guest Professor at the Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Italian, Rui's international versatility enhances his ability to work in diverse settings and engage with people from different backgrounds.
