Aviation safety and security management involves a wide-ranging framework of policies, procedures, and practices designed to ensure the safety and security of passengers, crew, aircraft, and ground facilities within the aviation industry. This discipline involves the identification, assessment, and mitigation of potential risks and threats, as well as the implementation of measures to prevent accidents, incidents, and security breaches. Aviation safety and security management is a multifaceted discipline that requires proactive risk management, a positive safety culture, regulatory compliance, ongoing training, and effective emergency response planning to ensure the continued safety and security of the aviation industry.
This Microclass will start from Sat 2nd Now and will conclude on 24th Now 2024. Classes will be conducted on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) across 8 Slots of 3- hour each, as per the program schedule.
At the end of this training , the Candidates will have a thorough understanding of aviation safety and security regulations imposed by national and international authorities such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Civil Aviation Authorities. Candidates learn techniques for identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with aviation operations. This includes understanding potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing risk mitigation strategies and the preparedness for Emergency Responses. This training fosters a culture of safety within aviation organizations, emphasizing the importance of safety as a top priority at all levels of the organization. This includes promoting open communication, reporting systems for safety incidents, and a proactive approach to safety management Candidates will have the knowledge on the implementation of security measures to protect against threats such as terrorism, sabotage, and unlawful interference. This includes understanding security protocols, screening procedures, access control measures, and security technology.

Candidates who have successfully completed this Microclass will be awarded with a Certificate of Completion by Aviationia, Atlântica and Shervi Aviationia as well as a Certificate of Specialisation from Atlântica University.

He is a Senior Advisor to the Government of Portugal and was instrumental in bringing over 200 new routes through four airports. Being a Professor of Aviation and Tourism Management, Gavin is dedicated to continuously imparting practical solutions through his acadustry®-based mentorship, with specialisation in commercials.
