Synopsis

Airports operate in a highly competitive environment and are increasingly generating revenue through ancillary services. This Microclass provides participants with key insights into how we use modern marketing techniques to increase an airport's revenue by offering more services to passengers, retailers, and airlines. Candidates will learn how to design effective marketing campaigns that attract new customers and boost your flight frequency. You will also learn how to tailor your marketing strategies to your catchment area and your target segments and explore the industry’s best practices. The course will assist you in developing a forward-thinking approach to marketing and equip you with the necessary skills to evolve along with the changing environment and increase non-aeronautical revenues.

Meet Your Coach

Gavin Eccles is the Head of Executive Education and a C-level coach at Aviationia. Having nearly 30 years of experience in aviation across academia, industry and government entities with a focus on managing commercial links between airlines, airports and tourism boards, Gavin has been holding leadership positions and delivering tailored consultancy across the globe. His portfolio includes Emirates, British Airways, American Airlines, United Airlines, Qantas, easyJet, Jet2, Eurowings amongst others, and he served as CCO for SATA Group where he had brought new thinking to two airlines and managed their networks, ancillary revenue, sales, marketing & brand/strategy development. He is a Senior Advisor to the Government of Portugal and was instrumental in bringing over 200 new routes through four airports. Being a Professor of Aviation and Tourism Management, Gavin is dedicated to continuously imparting practical solutions through his acadustry®-based mentorship, with specialisation in commercials.
